Under the button Prebende is a translation from the Genealogysk Jierboek 1990 of the Fryske Academy.
The original, in the Friese language, is made by Ir. G.L. Meesters in February 1990 in the place Utrecht.
In the book 'De vier Bolswarder lenen' by G. Abma from 1979 is also a description of the Hettema-Heremaleen.

The description goes about the Petrus and Paulus prebende at Bolsward of the Hettema-Heremaleen.
A prebende is a divine title on which income from church goods where attached. 
In those days it was possible to get a scholarship by way of the Hettema-Heremaleen.

The family Hettema are the ancestors of Baukje Koelman, the first wife of Antonius Veringa from Bolsward.
The grandfather of Baukje Koelman, Gaele Ykes van Hettema, assumed in 1811 the family name 'van Hettema'.     His mother was Engeltje Hanses Hettema.
